Gender-neutral language - Gender-neutral language (gender-generic, gender-inclusive, non-sexist, or sex-neutral language) is language that attempts to refer neither to males nor females when discussing an abstract or hypothetical person whose sex cannot otherwise be determined. This most commonly means using gender-neutral pronouns instead of gender-specific pronouns.
Gender-specific job title - A gender-specific job title is a name of a job that also specifies or implies the gender of the person performing that job, such as fireman or stewardess. A gender-neutral job title does not specify or imply gender, such as firefighter.
Gender bender - Gender bender is an informal term used to refer to a person who transgresses, or "bends," expected gender roles in some way. Gender benders may self-identify as transgendered or genderqueer, feeling that the gender assigned to them at their birth is an inaccurate or incomplete description of themselves; some are transsexual and desire to change their physical sex through hormone therapy or sex reassignment surgery, while others were born intersexual.
